Locate Android Virtual Device settings and images

Some buddies ask me where the Virtual Devices are located in computer. Interesting question, isn’t it?

After looking for a while, I’ve found everything here:

– For Windows 7 users,

C:\Users\<user name>\.android\avd

– For other Windows users,

C:\Document Settings\<user name>\.android\avd

– For Linux/Unix/BSD users,

/home/<user name>/.android/

What are things put inside?

– The config parameter in file *.ini, which contains parameter: target, point to the corresponding AVD directory and SDK version.

– Inside each device folder, there are actual images and files setting for running.

That’s all! Enjoy!

Cheers,

Pete Houston
